(Penfield, NY) Four Penfield Patriots varsity pitchers – Jason Kanzler, Mike Mooney, Mike Harmer, and Alex Lindenmayer – combined on a four hitter but seven walks and four errors proved costly in an opening season 4-1 loss to the Churchville Chili Saints at home on Bachman Field at Penfield Town Hall Park on Thursday afternoon. The Pats’ offense was paced by hits from Brad Agostinelli, Nate Zager, Brian Bezek – who drove in the lone Penfield run, Sean Urkfitz, and Tyler DeClerck.
The Patriots take to the road heading south to Myrtle Beach, SC to compete in the Mingo Bay Baseball Classic during the school’s spring break next week.
