(Myrtle Beach) The Patriots had to face the defending New York State Champions, Proctor HS, on Wednesday to keep their hopes of advancing in the winner’s bracket in the Mingo Classic. The Patriots fell behind 3-0 after 3 innings, but chipped away with 2 runs in the 4th & 2 runs in the 5th inning. Alex Lindenmayer pitched a complete game, and recorded 15 strikeouts in an outstanding pitching performance. Sean Urckfitz drove in Travis Lisena from second in the fifth with two outs to lift the Patriots. Dave Locke tied the game on an unearned run. Brad Agostinelli and Tyler DeClerck each finished with two hits for the Patriots (2-3), who advance to the Mingo Bay Class final round.
The Patriots now face Pittsford Sutherland to continue their quest in the Mingo Bay Classic, on Thursday.
